Une passion réunie en un collectif :
La Confrérie Normande fut fondée en 2001 et se compose d'associations provenant des quatre coins de la France. Véritable fruit de la passion pour la reconstitution historique et l'histoire vivante, ce collectif s'est principalement développée autour de la restitution de la vie quotidienne et militaire entre les IX° et XI° siècle pour les peuples scandinaves et francs.
Ainsi, l'ensemble du matériel mis en oeuvre lors des rassemblements se réfère aux résultats de la recherche historique, archéologique et scientifique permettant ainsi aux grands publics de s'immerger dans la vie de ces civilisations passées de manière pédagogique et ludique.
A passion brought together in a collective :
The Normandy Brotherhood was founded in 2001 and consists of associations from all over France. A true fruit of the passion for historical reconstruction and living history, this collective has developed around the restitution of daily and military life between the 9th and 11th centuries for the Scandinavian and Frankish peoples.
Thus, all the material used during the gatherings refers to the results of historical, archaeological and scientific research allowing the general public to immerse themselves in the life of these past civilizations in an educational and playful way.
